Elmer was born in Merlin, Ontario on October 16th, 1909.

He died on October 12th, 1979.

Elmer’s next of Kin are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Will & Irene Ward.  Elmer was the husband of Verna May Vince.  Sons David and Frank and daughter Susan.

Place of Enlistment, Chatham Kent Essex, No. 1 District Depot, Windsor, Ontario.  Date of Enlistment October 27, 1942.   Enlisted in the Essex Scottish Regt. at Windsor, ON in 1942 Later transferred to RCA – Anti-Tank Regt.  He served in Scotland, UK and Continental Europe.

He was wounded with a hip injury, shrapnel, in France.  He was discharged September 25, 1945.

Date of Death:  October 12, 1979.
