Born in 1917, North Wales, UK. Nationality: Canadian, of Merlin, Kent Co., ON. Rank: Pilot Officer (Air Obs.), Royal Canadian Air Force, Unit Text: 103 (R.A.F.) Sqdn. The son of Rev. W. A and wife Joan Williams of Valetta, Kent Co., ON.

Prior to his enlistment, Maldwyn attended High school in Listowel, ON. where he matriculated. He was attending Knox College, University of Toronto, a seminary for Presbyterian Church on St. George campus, where he intended to study Theology. He had spent his summers preaching on Mission Fields. At school he played inter-faculty Soccer.   

The Merlin Standard 11/09/41 reported that he received his “Licensing” at the Valetta Presbyterian Church as a graduate of Knox Presbyterian College, Toronto. He was then ranked Sergeant Pilot and was preparing to leave shortly for the East prior to his departure overseas.

KIA – Date of Death: 20/05/1942. While flying in Wellington bomber Z 1141 of 103 Sqd. RAF, on Air Ops. Was reported missing while on night Operations, it was later confirmed crashed over England, presumed by enemy actions.
