Unit # R.C.A.F. (WD)

The daughter of Mr. and Mrs William Woodward. Audrey was the first young woman form Wallaceburg to enlist in the RCAF(WD) and complete her training. She was immediately appointed to No.7 S.F.T.S. at RCAF-Ft. Macleod, Alberta. Her mother and sister Esther were in Toronto to wish her farewell. CDN 29/06/42

Cpl. Woodward of Christie St. Hospital, Toronto and Cpl. Noel Edwards of No.7 S.F.T.S Ft. Macleod, AB., spent  a few days at Edwards family home on their way back from New York City. WN date unknown. Audrey and sister Esther were reported at various RCAF stations WN 12/11/42(P) The WN 24/12/42 reported that Audrey was stationed at McLeod, AB.

The WN 30/11/44 reported that Audrey and Ester were at their parent’s home while on leave Ester from RCAF Trenton and Audrey from RCAF Christie St. Hospital, Toronto.
