Richard Stone McMackon was born in Highgate, Ontario on March 23, 1898. His parents were David McMackon and Susan (Stone) McMackon, Highgate residents until 1911.

Richard enlisted on April 16, 1918 in Toronto.

He served as a Gunner with the 71st Battalion, Canadian Garrison and the 2nd Battalion, CFA.

He was discharged on December 20, 1918 in Toronto.

Richard was employed by the TTC in the City of Toronto.

He died on June 15, 1980 in Toronto.

Earl was born in Essex County, Ontario to Henry McLaughlin and Jessie (McGregor) McLaughlin on October 16, 1895. In the 1911 census, he was living in Orford Township, Kent County with his father and step-mother Martha (Stone) McLaughlin, as his mother had died. He enlisted in the C.E.F. on January 24, 1916 at Kingsville, Ontario, served overseas in France and at Vimy Ridge, and attained the rank of Corporal. At various times, he served with the 23rd, 87th and 99th Battalions. He received his discharge in London, Ontario on August 17, 1919. He was married with two children and lived in Windsor. He died in Windsor on December 26, 1990 at the age of 95 years.

Frank was born in Highgate, Ontario on September 23, 1888 and his parents were David McMackon and Susan (Stone) McMackon, residents of Highgate until 1911.
He enlisted in the Canadian Forces in Toronto on April 26, 1917, and served in France as a Signaller in the 67th Battalion. He was wounded on November 3, 1918, returned to Canada and was discharged on March 28, 1919.
Frank worked a a bank manager in Ontario and died on January 17, 1959 in London, Ontario.

Frank and his crew were all killed when their Canso Flying Boat crashed into a mountain on Vancouver Island on December 2, 1944 at the age of 29 years old.

There is a Monument for him in Ottawa Memorial, Ottawa, ON. The I.D. number is 18428273 in Plot Panel 3, Column 4.
