The CDN 28/09/43 reported that Douglas was returning to Toronto where he would take up duties with the RCAF.  The CDN 20/10/43 reported that AC2 McEllistrum had left Chatham for Guelph after a week-end at his mother’s home.

Doug was stationed at RCAF-Guelph. He was reported in the CDN 6/04/44 spending a nine-day leave to be with his mother Mrs. Daisy McEllistrum of Lorne Ave., Chatham.
