Frank was born in Highgate, Ontario on September 23, 1888 and his parents were David McMackon and Susan (Stone) McMackon, residents of Highgate until 1911.
He enlisted in the Canadian Forces in Toronto on April 26, 1917, and served in France as a Signaller in the 67th Battalion. He was wounded on November 3, 1918, returned to Canada and was discharged on March 28, 1919.
Frank worked a a bank manager in Ontario and died on January 17, 1959 in London, Ontario.
