George Meymott Richardson was born on the 02 November, 1878 in Chatham.  He was the youngest of two children born to Dr. George Elvins Richardson and the former Elsie Jane White.  (See Chatham-Kent Physician Tribute website).  Young George had an older sister Mabel Elvins Richardson who was born in Blenheim on the 10th of September, 1875.  His father died on the 20th of February, 1885, when young George was just 6 years old.  Sadly the little boy, found his father dead in a snowbank.  His father had gone out to chop wood.  (Article in the 23rd of February 1885 Chatham newspaper describes the circumstances of his death).  After the death of his father, his mother continued to live in Chatham with her children.  (1891 Census).  

Young George married Maude Boyer in Elkhart, Indiana on the 05th of November 1902.  They had two daughters, Jane Boyer RIchardson 1907-1991 and Mariam Boyer Richardson 1908-1954.  An infant son (not named on Find-A-Grave, died in 1905).

George enlisted in WW1 on the 09/12/1918 in Goshen, Indiana. (Draft Registration Card).  He resided at 405 South 6th Street in Goshen with his wife Maude.  He worked at Goshen Mfg. Co.  He was of Medium Height and Medium Build, Dark Brown Eyes and Dark Brown Hair.

His Death Record is available on Ancestry.  Still living at the same address as above.  Lists his parents Dr. Geo. E. Richardson and Mrs. Elsie Jane White.  He died at Goshen Hospital on the 21st of March, 1934 – “Accident” Fractured Neck and left femur.  Buried at Oak Ridge Cemetery, Goshen,, Indiana.
