The son of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Shaw of 73 King St. Wallaceburg, ON. Educated in Wallaceburg schools. He was also a trombonist with the Wallaceburg Kiltie band.
Bob joined the Navy in spring 1943 the WN 19/08/43(P) reported that he and his cousin Buddy Zerga US Navy met while both were in Wallaceburg on leave. Bob was returning to an ‘eastern post’ where he is doing physical instruction work.
