The son of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Williamson of Tilbury, ON.

Hampton was home on a week-end leave in February of 1941. TT 13/02/41. Hampton was on a week-end furlough from RCAF-St. Thomas ATS (Air Training Scheme). TT 13/02/41. In April of 1941 he was staioned at the RCAF St.Thomas Air Training Station. TT 24/04/41. In July of 1941 Hampton was back at ATS St.Thomas when he was reported on leave.

LAC Hapton was on a week-end leave from No. 14 S.F.T.S Alymer in September of 1942 to visit his parents. TT 10/09/42. In November of 1942 Hampton was Training at No. 14 Service Fying Training School (S.F.T.S.) at Aylmer, ON., after a short leave home. TT 19/11/42.He graduated from No.14 SFTS and was transferred overseas to Gander Newfoundland. TT 26/11/42.

Hampton was reported being stationed at Gander Newfoundland in October of 1941, TT 30/10/41, and home on a Christmas furlough in December of that year. TT 25/12/41. Hampton was still stationed at Gander when he was on leave in April, 1943. TT 1/04/43. In May of 1943 while stationed at Alymer RCAF Training School he was given a week-end pass to visit his parents. TT 21/05/43. Later in May his parents received word that Hampton had safely arrived overseas. TT 6/05/43.
