Previous Military Experience… Trained with the 2nd Kent Regiment. Appears on the “Muster Roll” of the 2nd Bn., Kent Regiment (MG), N.P.A.N. (date unknown). Transferred later to Sgt. R83297, RCAF.

History After Enlistment… Posted to Debert, N.S. Embarkation Depot April 6, 1941. Embarked for overseas April 30, 1941. Arrived Scotland, May 30, 1941. Posted to Liverpool England for six months radar training at University of Liverpool Posted to Northern Ireland R.A.F. Coastal Command October 1941. Served in Hebrides during Fall of 1941 and winter of 1941-42.

Posted to Iceland Summer 1942, R.A.F. Iceland Command. Served in Iceland for 13 months, during which time served a period of Squadron Detachment in Greenland. Posted to England in September 1943, as Sergeant Radar Mechanic. Posted to Northern Scotland R.A.F. Coastal Command November 1943. Served at Wick, and to Detachment in Shetlands from Wick, Northern Scotland. Repatriated for Aircrew training April 1944. Took aircrew training at Winnipeg and Calgary Graduated Wireless Operator March 1945, as Pilot Officer. Transferred to Aircrew Reserve and released.

The CDN 5/04/44 reported that Sgt. Wright who had been serving overseas for the past three years was returning on furlough.
