Edmund passed away 7 July, 1955 in Portland, Clackamas, Oregon, USA. Later divorced by an Act of Parliament; they had no children. A second marriage to Josephine Tomasi in 1928. They had a son Ross Marshall Zeller (adopted) 19 Sept. 1934 from Merlin, ON., he died in 1976 at Portland, Oregon.
An article in a local paper Not Identified had the following: “Word has been received here that Private Marshall Zeller, son of Ed Zeller who formerly ran a store at Merlin and who is now located in Windsor, Ontario, has been recommended for the D.S.O. for gallant acts performed on the Somme. Russell Zeller, a younger brother, recently joined the colours. Mr. and Mrs. Zeller are well known in Tilbury, the latter being the niece of Mrs. W. A. Shaw.” Information from family.
