Born in Ridgetown, ON., DOB:- 27/02/1890. The son of James and Edie (nee Stolicker) Dodman Percy was one year old when the 1891 census was done in Harwich Twsp., there were two other siblings Roy and Leta. The father was a farmer there. In the 1901 census still living in Howard Twsp. the family now has three more daughters Laura, Jessie and Martha.

Percy married Julia (nee Olenecka) 11/03/1912 in Cleveland, Ohio, USA. They divorced 29 /06/1914, “extreme cruelty” does not say who was cruel.

He enlisted in the US Army. 

Percy was a Barber at 471 Brooklyn, Detroit, Michigan. Married, medium height, medium wright, eyes dark brown, hair light.  He enlisted at Detroit, Mich.  

23 June, 1923 applied to become a U.S. citizen. Married Mina Violey (nee French) on 17/02/1915, she was born in Amherstburg, ON.18/01/1894. They had one daughter Jacqueline Lou Dodman 9/07/1939. In 1940 Percy was living with his wife, then with a second daughter Berlyn age 8, at  15134 Monica St., Detroit.   

It appears that Percy was drafted Serial Number 1836 with the USA entering WWII. He was 52 years old (it is unlikely he would have served in the USA perhaps as a barber. 

Percy Robert Dodman passed away 3 August, 1950, (probably in Detroit – unconfirmed).
