Son of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Eakett of 64 Jeffery St., brother of Ray and William, both in service, Ronald and a sister Lyndon of Chatham. His wife Marion (nee Daugherty) was living at 32 Lorne Ave., Chatham while he was overseas.

Albert enlisted in April,1941 with the Canadian Corps of Signals and trained at No. 12 BTC Chatham and in Kingston before going overseas in October of 1941. While in England he was promoted to Sergeant while in the UK.. He had recently been in Brussels with his brother Bill on a 48 hour leave shortly before his death his brother Roy was serving in Italy. CDN Aug. 44

DOAI – Date of Death: 25/12/1944, in a motor truck collision in Holland. Service.
