The son of Herbert O. and Charlotte Rose (nee Thompson) Jones. Brother of Monica (Chittim), Stanley, Marion (Peltier) and Velma (Hartley). The husband of Alice Marie (Larabee 1998), father of Joyce E. (Black) and Shirley A. (Maynard).  

Oliver enlisted in the RCAF 20 /08/1943. The Merlin Standard (1944 date unknown) spent a few days with his parents. The MS 15/06/44 reported Oliver spending a three week furlough with his parents. The MS 27/06/44 reported that AC1 was at Aylmer Training School spent a Sunday with his parents 

Oliver served overseas in England serving with the RCAF.

Oliver passed away 22/02/2015 at the Chatham Retirement Home at the age of 90 years; interment at the Merlin Cemetery. CDN-Obit. 23/02/15.
